What’s going on?

Slow week on the reading front. But hoping to catch up today. I am currently at a dance competition with my oldest daughter. So bring on the books as I will have tons of time between competitions!

Thrill Ride by Julie Ann Walker was about the only book I read this week and if you saw me on Twitter you knew I was on pins and needles. See I had 1% left in the book and my kids wouldn’t leave me alone. I hid in the bathroom, then the closet and then I went out to the van to hide. Honest to God I love this series! Thrill Ride is Rock and Vanessa’s story. Rock is on the run as a rogue officer. He’s being hunted by the CIA, the people who compromised him and even the Black Knights. At least the Black Knights want him alive and don’t believe a word of the allegations! Vanessa has loved Rock since the first time she heard his voice. Love and first heard? His Cajun accent almost did me in. Well, this isn’t the review so I won’t go any further! Look to see the review and Julie Ann Walker to visit us in April.

I am currently reading one book while listening to another from Audible.

Audible…I am listening to Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey. I have wanted to read this series for some time, but keep getting pushed to review other books. So I am going to be driving a lot to dance competitions so I got the books on audio and ebook so I could switch back and forth. I started Exclusively Yours yesterday and I am hooked! About a year ago I read Undeniably Yours, so I needed to go back and start from the beginning. Loving it so far!

The books I am reading is Mac’s Angels: Midnight Fantasy. I am barely into it but a little confused, so back to the book description I go. Ok, I am back and still confused so let’s talk a little about it. The hero is a 36 year old quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. His parents were recently in a car accident and died. HIs best friend has died (not sure how). Now he is banged up and can’t find the will to continue to live. Drinking himself into a stupor a woman arrives who he thinks is an angel. This is where I get a little confused. Mac is like this guy who is charge of angels I am guessing. He sends Annabelle to save the hero, Joe, in six days. She comes in dressed like an angel. So my question…is she an angel and is Mac some kind of diety? Or are they both humans who just deal with depression? We see a hint that Annabelle has dealt with her own depression and still feels nothing in the way of emotions. Not sure where it is going…I picked it up…well you know because it had a quarterback in it…I am a sucker for football books.

So that is a short reading week. Hoping to get a better handle on it today as I have down time between
