Yours Affectionately YA Review: Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

This entry is part 1 of 1 in the series Pushing the Limits

This entry is part 1 of 1 in the series Pushing the LimitsPushing the Limits by Katie McGarry Genre: YA Contemporary Romance Series: #1 Pushing the Limits So many people told me ‘You just have to read this one’, ‘its awesome’, etc and I did the ‘ya-ya, I will.  I’ve got it in my TBR pile’.  Well hel-lo, they were all right.  Truthfully, deep down I knew that it would be good and would grab my emotions, but that’s exactly why I shied away from this book.  And yes, I had to pull out my tissue a few times.  In the right …

Review: I Only Have Eyes For You by Bella Andre

I Only Have Eyes For You by Bella Andre Genre: Contemporary Romance Series: The Sullivans, book #4 I fell in love with this book as I started listening to it on my walks in the morning. By the second morning, I had to hang up on the audio and grab my ebook to finish it. I just couldn’t wait to find out what happened! Impatience is a big problem with me. Going one by one through the Sullivan clan is so much fun. I love big families and getting to watch as each one tumbles into love. Sophie Sullivan is …

ARC Review & Giveaway: Kill Shot by Liliana Hart

Kill Shot by Liliana Hart Genre: Thriller Romance Series: #1 The Collective Intensity is shot through this whole book so that I never had time to draw a deep or relieved breath.  Whether it was the physical danger element or the painful and deeply emotional relationship, this one just didn’t let up.  I have never read this author before and now I want to smack myself with a ‘why ever not’ because this was an incredible bit of writing that lived up to and then some what is revealed in the blurb.  And yes, I used a boat-load of descriptive adjectives already …

Review: The Good Boy by Lisa Henry and J.A. Rock

The Good Boy by Lisa Henry and J.A. Rock Genre: M/M Contemporary Romance Series: #1 Boy Some stories are just so impactive (Is that a word?  It is now.) that not only can you not put them down; you can’t stop thinking about them for a while after you finish reading it.  There were moments I laughed so hard and on the other extreme there were moments when my tears of sadness just flowed without my knowledge.  This is the sort of ‘coming of age’ story for one hero that you want never to happen in reality, but if so, you hope …

ARC Review: The Heiresses by Allison Rushby

The Heiresses by Allison Rushby Genre: Historical Romance It’s a girl…and a girl…and a girl!!! It’s been a long time since I’ve read a historical romance. This one reminded me why I have always loved the genre. Thalia, Erato (aka Ro), and Clio are triplets who were separated at birth and given to three non-related families. Raised in completely different circumstances they each have their own personalities and quirks. Thalia, the party girl, was raised in a home with who she believes are her aunt and uncle and was treated as the unwanted child whom they were doing a favor …

Review: Blacker Than Black by Rhi Etzweiler

Blacker Than Black by Rhi Etzweiler Genre: M/M Dystopian Paranormal Romance   I just adore the creative-world building of this author whether it is the Sci-Fi Romances I read previously or this parallel earth paranormal story.  This book grabbed my interest from the beginning and didn’t let go until the end.  I sat there wishing the story could just keep going because I wanted more- more time with the fascinating characters.  The pace was a blend of excitement and ‘cat and mouse’ style action and dialogue because not only is this a paranormal romance; it is intrigue and mystery too.  Loved …

Review: Empty Net by Toni Aleo

Empty Net by Toni Aleo Genre: Contemporary Sports Romance Series: The Assassins, book #3  Goalies are their own breed!!! What can I say, I’m a sucker for a hockey player romance and this one kept my interest from start to finish. At twenty seven years old Audrey Parker hates her job, is in an abusive relationship, and has a terrible track record with men. She always picks the type of man that treats her like a second class citizen. Her most recent boyfriend Levi is constantly putting her down, making her feel like no one else will ever want her, …
